How does Los Altos handle its food waste?

Come learn with GreenTown during this interactive tour led by Louie Pellegrini, President of Mission Trail Waste System – the City of Los Altos’ waste hauler and recycler. We will visit Mission Trail’s new food scrap processing facility and then move onto the distribution center of their sister company, Garden City Sanitation. Both facilities are located in Santa Clara:

• 1060 Richard Ave, Santa Clara, CA (Processing Facility) – Mission Trail Waste System
• 1080 Walsh Ave, Santa Clara (Distribution Center) – Garden City Sanitation

The two-hour tour can accommodate up to 25 people. We plan to carpool from Hillview parking lot to first to the processing facility and then to the distribution center.
