reCYCLE Bike Drive

gtla-recycle-2016-kathleen

The reCYCLE Bike Drive was partly the brainchild of Kathleen Santora (2nd from left) who worked tirelessly to get bikes to kids in need.

Got an unused bike? We know someone who can use it.

That’s why GreenTown holds a reCYCLE Bike Drive. We collect gently used bikes which are washed, repaired and given to those in need.  Past recipients include students in the Los Altos School District, Mountain View Whisman School District, and Los Altos Mountain View High School District, among others.

Our reCYCLE Bike Drive is in line with our commitment to:

  • Promote bike use
  • Encourage gasoline free transportation
  • Lower CO2 emissions
  • Improve air quality
  • Reuse resources responsibly.

This could be your easiest way to make a difference in many lives: we’ve seen the smiles that result so we know!

Thanks to our partners for their support Los Altos Community Foundation and the Los Altos School District. For more info, please contact Arnold Ambiel.
