Watts: Energy Program
Energy warms our hearts. Because it’s a hot topic. From installing solar panels (via our successful solar program) to tap the sun’s energy to energy saving LEDs, from pushing for community choice energy (and we succeeded!) to driving electric vehicles, we literally love the topic of energy.
So what can you do?
Start with simple changes. Lightbulbs. According to the EPA:
If every American home replaced their 5 most frequently used light fixtures or the bulbs in them with Energy Star qualified lighting, we would save close to $8 billion each year in energy costs, and together we’d prevent the greenhouse gases equivalent to the emissions from nearly 10 million cars.
